Am at the point now in my countdown to the Online News Association (ONA) conference in Los Angeles that it’s less than a calendar month to go.
As stated on the event’s About page: “Record-breaking numbers of journalists travel to ONA’s conference each year to learn about new tools, techniques and technologies, to discuss advancements and challenges in the industry, take advantage of the rare opportunity to network face-to-face, and share best practices with peers from all over the map”.
It’s a scary big event for three days. The speaker page alone has a bewildering array of upwards of 230 faces. As Robin would say ‘Holy Lineup Batman!’
The program stream that’s caught my eye is the Revenue + Ethics Track which has had a very handy summative trail of bait laid down by ONA’s Digital Director Trevor Knoblich in a post on the event’s news blog.
This is the first of a series of posts I’ll be making before taking off for LAX on 22 September. Roll on LAX-ONA!*
(* LAX-ONA is not the official name!)
